Sour Cherry Shortcake

Fresh and different dessert for summer afternoons. This treat is great for backyard barbecues or picnics.

What do you need?

Sour cherries
1 1/2 cups (350 g) sour cherries
3 tbsp semolina flour

Batter
5 tbsp aquafaba
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 cup (230 g) vegan sugar
7 oz. (200 ml) water
7 oz. (200 ml) applesauce
3 1/2 cups (500 g) flour
2 tbsp (35 g) wine-stone backing powder
15 tbsp aquafaba (for the “snow”)

Topping
2 tbsp powderd sugar
